I invite you to support families across California as we work together to raise awareness of Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), a little-known, complex disorder that causes global developmental delays, mental retardation, behavioral problems, and a host of other serious symptoms that all too frequently take the lives of our precious children. PWS is the number one genetic cause of morbid obesity.

I am the parent of a child who has Prader-Willi Syndrome. I am also a member of Prader-Willi California Foundation (PWCF) a non-profit, 501 (c)(3) charitable corporation serving children and adults in the state of California who were born with PWS.

Each year PWCF commemorates Prader-Willi Syndrome Awareness Week by holding awareness and fundraising events called Walking for Prader-Willi Syndrome. I have enclosed a brochure announcing these statewide events that are held in both Southern and Northern California.

The Foundation and the families it supports depend upon generous corporations like yours to support our awareness- and fund-raising efforts. I invite you to participate in this year's Walk as a general sponsor, or sponsor a corporate Footprint Sign (or two!) to publicize your company along the Walk path. All generous corporate sponsors will be appreciated in an upcoming edition of the Foundation's newsletter which enjoys a readership in excess of 700 in California and throughout the United States.
